1990 honda civic, do i need a new fuel injector?

i changed the fuel filter, spark plugs, oil. My car runs great but it gets crappy fuel milage for a honda civic si. When i start it up i have to push the pedal lightly for 10 mins then i let go then it runs on its own. I told a mechanic guy and he said,%26quot; sounds like the fuel injector%26quot;. What could it be? also my car right wheel makes alittle knocking noise when i turn sharp, if i leave that what will happen? cause its been like that a month and my car still turns good1990 honda civic, do i need a new fuel injector? There is a fuel injector on each cylinder. They may need cleaning unless one is bad but you will need to take it to a shop to properly diagnose that. Dirty air filter will cause bad fuel mileage also. a timing belt with alot of slop in it (worn out belt or pulleys or both) can cause a driveability issue with bad fuel mileage. Also honda's that year have 2 idle air control circuits. If you have to keep your foot in the gas when its cold because its searching for idle the thermostatically operated iac may be corroded and not working properly. The knocking is a bad outer CV joint. look behind the wheel and you will see a ripped boot and grease everywhere. replace that axle. dont bother with a boot kit the axle is finished.

Good luck :)

sounds like you need a tps (throttle position sensor) and the knocking in turns sounds like the axle, gonna only get worse, get it changed.
