What makes fuel injectors trigger? i cant get my car to run.?

I have an 89 Oldsmobile cutlass ciera. I have been diagnosing the motor to try to find the proble. Changed fuel, new spark plugs, distributers working (im getting spark), points are set. Although i noticed im not getting power to the fuel injectors, i tested it with a circut tester with a small led light on it. no power was metered and the light didnt shine when cranking the engine. What powers and triggers these injectors so i can diagnose that part to see if its functioning correctly. Note this car has not been used for a while, it sits alot but i take it out for rides about every two months, always runs fine. Last week i pressure washed it on monday, rhode it thru the week and wont start on friday. did i short out that %26quot;part%26quot; that powers the injectors? pleas help (its a 3.3 engine by the way) thanks!What makes fuel injectors trigger? i cant get my car to run.?did you check the fuel injector fuse in the fuse panel?

The computer sends voltage to the injectors. Check to see that the fuel pump relay is good. You can use a long screwdriver as a stethescope placing the handle on your ear and the other end an injector. Have someone crank the engine while doing this and listen for a click click click at the injector. If the injector is clicking it is operating which indicates either no spark or no fuel being supplied to the injector.
